Time for paint…and a door

I went to the paint store and picked out some paint.  How I came up with this shade?  The name of course.  “Cloudless sky” sounded perfect!  I would have preferred “sky with a few clouds” but they don’t carry that apparently.  I was happy with the shade on the test spot.  I also brought home a door.  I must have been feeling creative as I got the fancy grid in the window.  Looking back, I have no clue why.  It…

Time for lights

Time for lights

It was finally time for some lighting!  Ceiling is painted. I am not totally happy that the discs did not stick flush with the ceiling, at some point I will need to address that.

Mudding complete!

I did not take any photos of the mudding process.  My Brother in law was again instrumental in this process.  He is awesome when it comes to taping and mudding drywall.  Here are a couple photos after complete.

I lost quite a bit of “storage” when I replaced my “work bench” with this room.  I put those words in quotes as it is mostly junk storage.  I did create another storage place, seen here, just outside of the door to the train room.

I have all of the wiring complete as well as insulation done.  Time for drywall!  Thankfully my Brother in law knows what he is doing with this and helped me hang that 14′ long sheets of drywall!
