I have taken a step back and am rethinking the track plan. I really am second guessing the yard tracks. In the mean time, I put up the divider. The divider and the peninsula are pretty much set. I can not believe how much a divider painted blue and foam painted brown change the entire scene.

I stayed up until around 2am getting all of the track laid to make the mainline loop! Video
I decided to go with a semi permanent temporary solution at the door just so I could keep moving. I can at least make a loop now.
I took a little different route with the buss wires. I used 14 gauge wire for the buss wire and 22 gauge phone wire for the feeders. To connect them, I used push in wire connectors. This was very clean and very easy to do and makes adding/changing super easy.
The day has finally come! I decided to go with Peco code 55 track. I really like Peco switches and the code 55 just looks better. I am using concrete ties on the main. Here is the track getting glued down (with the help of some weight out of my tool chest).
